How Zolra Intelligence Works

Deep dive into Zolra’s intelligence layer: the nightly cycle, failure patterns, how it prepares your day, and how founder activity makes it smarter.

What is Zolra Intelligence?

Zolra Intelligence is Zolra’s AI matching and intelligence layer. It’s not a chatbot — it’s a capability that works while you sleep to prepare useful recommendations for your morning.

The Five Match Types

  1. Co-Founder Match — Scores compatibility between potential co-founders based on skills complementarity, vision alignment, stage fit, and work style. Scale: 0–100.
  2. Job Match — Scores candidates against job requirements. Considers skills, experience, culture fit, and profile quality.
  3. Investor-Startup Fit — Matches investors with startups based on stage, sector, ticket size, and thesis alignment.
  4. Mentor Match — Pairs mentors with mentees based on expertise areas, industry, and mentoring style.
  5. Feed Ranking — Personalises your community feed based on your profile, interests, and engagement history.

The Nightly Cycle

Every night between 12 AM and 6 AM IST, Zolra Intelligence runs a full scoring cycle:

  1. Profile ingestion — Processes all new and updated profiles
  2. Match computation — Runs pairwise scoring for relevant match types
  3. Failure pattern scanning — Checks startups against 52 known failure patterns
  4. Recommendation generation — Prepares personalised action items
  5. Score delivery — Updates dashboards and sends notification digests by 8 AM

The 52 Failure Patterns

Zolra Intelligence scans startup profiles against 52 patterns that correlate with early-stage failure, grouped into categories:

  • Team risks — Solo founder, no technical co-founder, part-time commitment, duplicate skills
  • Market risks — Tiny TAM, no clear customer, solution looking for a problem
  • Product risks — Feature, not product. No retention signal. Premature scaling
  • Financial risks — High burn with no revenue, over-raised for stage, no unit economics
  • Execution risks — Too many pivots, no focus, shipping too slowly

How Scores Work

Every match score has a transparent breakdown. You can see exactly why you scored 82 with a particular co-founder or 67 with a job listing. Factors and weights are visible — no black box.

How Zolra Intelligence Gets Smarter

Zolra Intelligence improves through:

  • Implicit feedback — Which matches lead to connections, conversations, and successful outcomes?
  • Profile enrichment — More complete profiles = better matching signal
  • Network effects — more founders on the platform means richer matching data
  • Manual tuning — Our team reviews match quality weekly and adjusts scoring weights

Privacy & Ethics

  • Zolra Intelligence never uses protected attributes (gender, age, caste, religion) in scoring
  • All scores are auditable and transparent
  • You can delete your data at any time
  • Zolra Intelligence never acts without your permission — it prepares actions, you execute them
